Why DLCs on STEAM Summer Sale 2021 are not discounted?!!?1?!

They were discounted at every sale up until February 2020. After that they were discounted in April of this year and that's it. They will probably be discounted unless EA screws it up.

EA are probably picking and choosing when to discount at their most appropriate moment than all the time. I'm lucky to get at TS3 and some DLCs earlier in the year even if it is a bit more expensive than years past, but it seems when there is a TS3 sale on the rare chance it happens, drop whatever else you planned to buy and get it on discount, or the chances may or may not happen again.

It seems that if anything for Sims 4 is on sale, they will not put anything for Sims 3 on sale. It took them over a year to put expansion packs on sale for Sims 3, in one of Steam's more esoteric sales, so don't expect another Sims 3 sale anytime soon.

Expect them to place all their Sims focus on Sims 4. That's how they've behaved in the past, and I don't expect any change in that behavior anytime soon.

EA's major purpose in making nice with Steam again was to be able to expand the market for their current catalog of games, so they are pushing Sims 4 rather than Sims 3. Put the game and whatever EPs and SPs you want on your wishlist. It will go on sale eventually and you'll get an email when it does.

Yeah the comment above me, plus, there was only 1 sale since, and Expansions and Stuff Packs/DLCs were discounted only, base game wasnt, base game was not discounted ever since 2020 February.

So yeah, kinda grim, but, I have hope that maybe in All souls' day or Christmas or both the base game will get a nice discount, I dont think so, it did not last year, still would be nice

EA hasn't discounted Sims 3 on Origin in years, too, they really want people to go for Sims 4.

Even when the expansions went on sale they weren't even good deals. Iirc it was like 50% off each, i was not going to drop $10 on just one. I too wish for these to go on sale, but i wont add them to my collection at that price point. This game is far too many years old for me to drop that much dinero.

Me personally would prefer to have just Sims 3 on steam, I dont care about 4 much or at all

Are you talking about 50% sales reduction for sims3? Because steam sims3 sales have previously been awesome with 70-80% discount. of course that was a few years back. I purchased all of the sims 3 DLC with big reductions.

As for sims 4, then those DLCs have never been more than 50% off. Im still waiting for the good old days of 70-80 reduction to buy ANY s4 DLC.

Guess I will be waiting some years for that to happen.

they did discount it earlier in the year on Origin. it was around the same time it went on sale on Steam as well.

They are not going to put them on sale until the Steam Winter Sale, thats when I got all mine.
