Additional Homes
How do I move my 2 kids and their pets into an additional home i just bought for them? I went in and built it for them specifically but when i go into the edit world and split the family up, te home isnt an option.

Your family can only have one home in a given world/town at a time. The kids will always go to that home when they get off work, etc. You will have to exercise more control over them if you want them to use the other home, and you want to have control over the two separate households. What I do is lock them out of the original home, and then manually guide them to the 2nd home whenever they finish work, where they will stay once they are there. You will have to do this every day.

Any carpools they have for work will still show up at the original house. Of course, you can always unlock the door for them when you want them to visit their parents.

The drawback of any additional homes in the same town is that they are treated as real estate, so you can't lock the doors/gates to outsiders. This might be a problem if the Sim living there is a celebrity.

Anyway, I will often split my families on several different lots when they have kids and grandkids. Although it's best if they are nearby lots. It would be too much of a hassle to keep making them travel a long distance to their new home on the occasions when they show up at the old house because you were busy with another family member.

I'm sure it is. The little bit I played Sims 4 was quite an adjustment, and not nearly as fun for me.

I just cant keep up with it a lot of the time. the mechanics are easier in the sims 4 but the gameplay does not match
This is far more simpler than sims 4 , in there when I first started I could not make house properly had trouble with rotating camera and deleting walls and things , compare to that this one is far better and easier cause this one gibs u clues . And sims 4 controlls r not that simpler ya if u start sims 4 first then sims 3 ya u might feel that way but trust me sims 3 one is better
