red objects graphic issue

the game was working normally, but then one day i decided to make a new house for my sims, and noticed that when i place an object it turns to a bright red colour. Not only that, but every single new thing i try to use turns into this weird colour, even clothes, walls, etc. I tryed to remove all my custom content and change some graphic settings, but the glitch is still there. I was enjoying this game so much, but now i cannot play it. Sorry if my english is bad

Try to verify local files.
Library at top of steam window
right click on sims 3 for Properties
Local Files
Verify

That will fix up any bad game files, sounds like you have some corrupted texture files or something. <I guess>

Have you tried starting a new fresh neighboorhood and check if glitch continues to happen?

I tried that and it looks even worse, all the buildings turned into red, lol

Maybe its a problem with the Options.ini file

Go to your Documents folder and find the Electronic Arts Folder, then the Sims 3 sub folder and look for a file named Options.ini. Delete it

This file will be regenerated the next time you launch the game so launch the game and check if the problem persists.

Warning: Your graphic settings will reset to default after this so you need to set them again.
