Is there a way to downgrade The Sims 3 version to the release (1.0.631)?

Not with the Steam or Origin versions. This can be done only if you have a base game disc from which to do a complete reinstall, and only if that disc was manufactured prior to Sept. 2012 (thus no Origin requirement like the later ones have). No Expansion or Stuff Packs as installing those from any source would raise the patch level, no Origin, and no EA Download Manager (EADM) when it is offered. Mods as we know them today will not work...well, some package files might if one deploys the original Framework setup from before Ambitions was released, but NRaas mods won't nor will any others specifically designed for later patch levels.

That does bring up the question though as to why one would want to experience an unpatched game. Perhaps you are still looking for ways to mess around with the Grim Reaper that were allowed before the patches locked them down?

I've found both, cd on auction service and iso on internet that is exactly that version, time to have fun

Unfortunatelly the Grim Reaper still executes the LeaveLot action despite being moved in.. Pretty sad :/
