Is it possible to get the Lucky Palms world from origin store (or whatever it is called) and have it transferred to the steam version?

Yes, it works with The Sims 3 Store. You'll be able to use it just fine. 🙂

Ditto on ^^ @carlystur ^^. All of the Store worlds will work just fine on your Steam installation. When you download them from the Store, just point your browser to the Sims 3 Launcher (Steam\steamapps\common\The Sims 3\Game\Bin\Sims3LauncherW.exe) and it will install and be available from the main menu the next time you launch. Most of the time Sims3Pack files get associated with the launcher when you install, so you might only need to tell the browser to use that app rather than point out its location.

Like they said, it'll work fine. SPs and EPs are a different story though, it takes registry edits to get them to associate with the Steam version of the game if not originally gotten through Steam as well.
