Cant complete Dragon cave keystone quest (please help devs)
Did the whole storyline did france and got the keystone of the dragon, PROBLEM IS when i return to china it says the target is no longer available? is there a fix for this? The sim didn't die because i disabled emigration with a mod and my lifespan is on epic. How do i get the keystone WITHOUT cheating because even using cheats if its to counter a bug i still feel is ''cheating''

I don't have any solutions for multi-world opportunities that cannot be completed other than to dismiss the opps so they are no longer in progress and then use NRaas DebugEnabler to grant completion of them. But that of course would be "cheating."

How do i grant completion with debug? tutorial please?
I tried cancelling it, adding it again, with debug nothing works

This requires having NRaas DebugEnabler installed. It is a separate mod from the others.

Then when the opportunity is not active (has been canceled) and you have no other opportunity of that type going, on the sim NRaas > DE > Options: Sim (or Smartphone) > Opportunities > and find the stubborn one for which you wish to be granted credit.

I'm not understanding i cannot find where in debug where i can grant it, I have an Add Opporunity option, Opporunity by name option, and i put the name in, and i accept the Opp, then cancel it, I just cannot find a way to force a way to comeplete it with debug enabler, I am in Shang Simla now, and even when i return home, i try to force the opportunity to appear but nothing happens. i checked the whole opporunities tab in Debug enabler and there isn't an option to force complete

Do i need to be in France for the Why... That's the Keystone! quest? even though it says ''go to china''? i tried everything i don't see any options

Afraid I don't know why the DE command is not working for you. DE's Add Opportunity doesn't put the opp on your sim for them to complete (that's what MasterController's commands do), it is supposed to force-complete them. But if you are selecting the opp by name and then hitting the cancel button, then maybe that's the issue -- you're supposed to accept it.

I am accepting it, and it says ''Go to china'' and i am already in china, The target sim is never available when i come home and go back again, and the opportunity will not add if i do it outside of china, it only allows me to grant it while in china

Im guessing it doesn't work because it is a step by step quest and is a multi-world quest? Homeworld quests complete just fine with debug, it is just the adventure ones that do not complete with debug, is there another mod or is it possible if the team could try to come up with a mod to fix this bug or reward the opportunities? much appreciated.

All but about two of DE's commands are really from EA and were left in the game with no way for players to reach them. What the mod does is open up an interface to these commands, like the Opportunity one, so that they can be run (and many of them, not this one, shouldn't ever be used because we don't really know what they do and it was never meant for players to see them).

We can't change the nature of these commands and I would also have to say it would take at least a year at this point to get new mod feature requests that arean't already on the table for consideration even started. Our developer's time is maxed out with real life events apart from running the site right now.

You may wish to bring the question to us at NRaas to see if other players have found a way to work through this one. Or you may need to drop this opportunity chain and move on, if you can. Not all of them are ever going to work.

I understand, But was i doing everything correct? i went to add opporunity and i chose EP1_France11 which is the one i'm on, the popup comes up telling me to accept or decline the opportunity, i click accept and it says it hasn't been complete and it is work in progress telling me i need to go to china despite i am already in china, when i am in france and i grant it with the same method when i go home and then travel to china again it says the person i no longer available

I realize this is coming way too late to be useful, but if anyone else happens to be playing World Adventures for the first time in 2023 (like me) and is frustrated beyond belief that Googling this very problem brings up tons of threads with nary a solution anywhere and all the threads locked due to age, I found something that worked (for me) last night, after much experimenting.

Firstly, I had the same problem outlined above. I completed the quest chain with no issues through the Chateau Landgraab Cellar in France, and was assigned to "Return to China" to complete the "Why... That's the Keystone!" quest in the chain. Returned home, and after the two day cool down period, returned to China to receive the message "you cannot finish the opportunity because the target sim is unavailable." The opportunity would then automatically cancel and drop off the China quests in my Opportunity tab. I will note, the target sim WAS ALIVE, not dead, but it was assigned to a random townie instead of the Special Merchant like it should be. (I'll note my Special Merchant has never changed roles, either)

I tried everything mentioned using Master Controller and/or DebugEnabler to reassign the "Why... That's the Keystone!" opportunity (it was called something like "France11" digging through DebugEnabler under Adventures > Quests > China) and nothing worked. Same issues as described above.

What DID work for me was re-starting the ENTIRE chain, by using DebugEnabler to assign the "France1" opportunity while in China, which triggers "Knowledge of the Past". I used testingcheatsenabled true and the right-click > Teleport me Here to very quickly move around the map doing the quest chain in China (Knowledge of the Past, he, uh, Potion... of Remembrance?, Oh Sin Pah!, The Diary of Sin Pah). At this point the quest chain goes to France, and the box at the bottom says, "Return Home". I used "Return Home" on the phone, went home, and the opporunity notice changed at this point to "Return to Champs les Sims." I waited out the two-day cool down period, then traveled to Champs les Sims (I'm uncertain if cheating away the travel moodlet and leaving immediately would change anything, so I figured I'd mention it... definitely save before trying it just in case).

The chain was continuing to work at this point. Went through "Speaking to the Groundskeeper" and "Quid Pro Keystone" by teleporting quickly. This is the point where you go to Chateau Landgraab. The game will generate another Keystone to Chateau Landgraab Cellars, which will get "stuck" in your inventory since you won't actually use it. To keep the chain "working", you must enter through the "keystone" door to the Cellars (even though it is already open and you don't actually place the keystone a second time). I just quickly went back through the cellar (and grabbed any regenerated loot) though teleporting down to the last room at this point would probably work fine. There should be a "glow" from the final chest again, and you must open it to complete this part of the chain (it will create a second Dragon Keystone in your inventory, but this one can be deleted by selling it for $0).

Now my Opportunity prompt said, "Go to China." I created a save FIRST, and then used Nraas Traveler mod to go directly from France to China by selecting "Travel" on my phone while in France, then picking China (I found it weird earlier it said "Return Home" before prompting to go to France, and this time it didn't). Upon arriving in China, now the "Why... That's the Keystone!" triggered properly, and was assigned to the Special Merchant. After a quick chat with him, I was successfully onto the next part of the quest chain, "Preparing for Battle". I'll note I saw some sources saying it was already being at Martial Arts Lv10 that broke the chain since that is the requirement for "Preparing for Battle", but this is FALSE because my Sim was already at Martial Arts Lv10 before starting this quest.

One last thing I'll point out, if you are bothered by the "stuck" unused duplicate Keystone to Chateau Landgraab (I was), right-clicking on it in the inventory, and selecting Nraas > DebugEnabler > Radius Purge can delete it out.

Cheers, and no problem, but I also found that saving the game before returning back to the destinations and reloading worked and fixed it, I successfully did Dragon cave. It only took 2 tries of reloading for it to work.

I also had a save point back at home before ever traveling back to China, but no amount of reloading and traveling fixed the problem for me. I probably sat through that loading screen 10+ times trying out different things. I assume that because (for whatever reason, heck if I know) a China townie other than the Special Merchant was "assigned" to me for that branch of the quest it was going to fail no matter what upon arrival. Glad something much easier than having to replay the whole branch worked for you!

The game doesn't like us to acquire our Visa levels too fast. It seems to have a certain timeline for when you can progress to the next Visa level. So, what it does, is make it impossible to finish a quest until we've visited enough times or spent enough days in that location to "deserve" getting a higher Visa level. I wouldn't be surprised if this was the issue here.

An additional detail:
I just recently realized that the Special Merchant is made to be fairly impossible to befriend until we've completed a certain number of quests. Each quest improves our relationship with the Special Merchant a little (although the first gains might be hidden) until they are finally happy to spend more time talking to us.
