How do i install the weapons mod?

OK, I installed it in my own game, and it works, so you're facing one of two problems: either you have a conflicting mod/content, or you did something incorrectly to install this mod.

So first: if you have any other mods or custom content, remove them and see if your weapons mod works.

If not, then just go over the steps one more time and see where you did something different:

1. Download all three files from MTS.
   
   
2. Unzip all three files.
   
   
3. Place all three files in Documents > Electronic Arts > The Sims 3 > Mods > Packages
   
   
4. Download Resource.cfg (as linked above).

That's weird. I don't have any other mods. Maybe because im doing it through the steam folder?

Yes - that's the wrong place. You need it to be in the user files (which are in your user Documents directory) - not the install files (which is what the Steam directory holds).

So (for the third time ): put the files in Documents > Electronic Arts > The Sims 3 > Mods > Packages.

Well i tried that, got no message and couldn't find the items.

Then you're still not doing it correctly. When installed correctly, the mod works - I did it myself yesterday.

Instead of me breaking down, step-by-step what you should be doing, can you tell us, step-by-step, what you are doing - then we can maybe see where things go wrong.

I downloaded the stuff from the site and took the files out of the folder
i went to documents, Electronic Arts, the sims 3 and made a mods folder
i downloaded the resource, placed uit in mods, and made a packages folder inside the mods folder where i placed the 3 files inside the packages folder

Hrm, check if everything is spelled correctly. It should be "Mods" (and nothing else), "Packages" (and nothing else), and Resource.cfg (and nothing else). The capitals may be important, but I've never tested without.

Weird. I've done all of this but there's no message. Do I have to be signed in?

maybe this one will help you the only thing you have to do is unzip it in the sims 3 folder under doc.

I've done all of that, Was there something i was supposed to do with the resource.cfg? I just downloaded it and placed it in mods

ive had this mod before it works with a cracked copy... i purchased the game after seeing i like it and it was on sale.

The Emperor it comes with all you need mods folder, resource file, no sparkle and non intro.
they two last files can you allways delete if you don´t want them.
there are some mods you have to double click on to install this mods comes with the sims 3 logo

At this point, yeah, I'd follow the link that Heipera provided. Just remove whatever you've done before and set it aside, then download the pack Heipera linked to ( http://chii.modthesims.info/FrameworkSetup.zip ) and unzip it - drop it as-is into your user Documents > Electronic Arts > The Sims 3 folder, and start up the game and see if it works.

If it does, then all you need to do is take your three files for the weapons mod and drop them into its Packages folder.
