Becoming a vampire...
...What's the easiest way? I've started a new game, and one of my intents with this one is to play as a vampire. What's the easiest way to become one? The only DLCs I have are Late Night and Master Suite Stuff.

Without Supernatural, the only game way is to befriend a vampire and ask to be turned. Be sure you're friendly with them first, else they will refuse.

You might be able to do it with Master Controller from NRaas in the "Edit Sim in CAS", but I don't know enough about it to say for certain since you don't have vampire available in normal create-a-sim without Supernatural.

Actually no, the way to convert a sim who exists in-game to an occult state, or to remove an unwanted occult state, with MC is to use its Sim > Intermediate> Occult:Add/Revmove commands (MC Cheats add-on module required). Once a sim already exists, CAS is all about what they look like and trying to do it that way only will result in a sim who may (or may not) look like a vamp sometimes but not really be one.

Then what's the easiest way to befriending a vampire? If I just act normally, I just end up with the "Hunted" moodlet, which is contrary to my purposes here.

Just like cruinne and igazor answers. You needed to be patient befriending a vampire. "Hunted" will only appears if your sims are not have either "Brave", "Daredevil", "Evil", or reaching friend level.

Most vampires in Bridgeport have "Evil" trait also.
To increasing relationship faster, you must have Charisma skill and talking conversation matching with target trait (ex. if target vampire have Artistic then go to "Talk about Arts").

Then I have some Sim re-creation to do. Any particular part of Brigeport where vampires tend to hang out, or is just random?

Bridgeport has Plasma 51, which is a vampire club. I'd try there :2017stickydrink:

Is there an easy way to identify a vampire? I was in Plasma 51 just a little while ago, and I ran into a Sim whom I think might be a vampire. No indication of where they live is showing up on the map, unlike every other Sim whom my current Sim has met.

Vampires have flash eyes, have somewhat strange body skin, have tattoo around their neck, and they also have fangs in their mouth, so you can probably pause the game and looking at them when they're opening the mouth.

You can exposed them by looking black smoke around them if they still around outside at daytime.

In relationships menu, vampires have pink frame around their portraits.

Vampires have a red border around them in the relationship screen. They also have distinct eyes. Make sure you have a high enough relationship with one and then ask them to turn you by selecting the "Ask to turn" option.
