What to do with all the trophies ?
The ones won with horse races as they can't be sold or placed on shelves.

I don't know what EPs other than Pets you have installed, but the treasure chests from World Adventures are great for this kind of stuff. Just move the trophies from inventory into a chest and it's "out of sight, out of mind". If the chests clash with your decor and you don't want to mess with Create-a-Style to make them match, you can stick them in Family Inventory until you need them to store something else. You need to stray a bit on the cheaty side if you don't want to go to the expense of a trip to buy them. Set testingcheatsenabled=true and buydebug=on and you can get them in Buy Mode. You'll still get charged for them, but it saves you the time and airfare of a full trip to the souvenir shop.

you sure you cannot put them on an end table or a dresser?

Yes they can be placed on tables, desks and dressers, and I bought several only for this use but I don't need so many of them, I have no more room to place anything else but tables for trophies. They don't even seem to have a great decoration value.
They really have no other purpose than clutter the lot and the sim's inventory ?

Oh, thank you. I didn't think of the chest. I have several I use to store fruits and relics but I never thought of using them to dispose of items I don't want.

I just tried, it works. The chest can even be sold to get rid permanently of the trophies they contain

I originally included that in my draft answer, but removed it. I sell/delete chests occasionally, but am not sure whether some record of the contents remains and a bit of junk in the save might come back to bite me later. I run the NRaas Overwatch mod (that and ErrorTrap from nraas.net are pretty much standard kit for TS3), so I'm probably just being paranoid, but being paranoid doesn't mean they aren't after you. If I hoze my own game over something like that, I'm not horribly concerned, but I'd hate to hoze anyone else's with bad/incomplete info.

A bit of junk ??? Let's face it : The whole game is a colossal pile of trash in the saves.
