household items crash
i've played tons of sims 1 in the past but only recently started playing sims4 and then 3.

i made my main char immortal and had them marrying people over and over (so i could make an epic family tree)

sadly through lack of game knowledge on my side i have accumulated literally thousands of items in my household inventory and if i click on sell all it does a few hundred before crashing (no matter how many times i try)

so.. can i mess with my save file somehow and just delete it all? at this point i don't care if i loose out on the money i have enough as it is..

you can go to documents an d delete the Sims 3 folder then restart the game and the game will be back to default however you will lose any saved games by doing this

Would you delete a multiple hour save file for an fps gain?

like 40 hours wasted? no thank you..

problem is that since i have the dlc that adds celebrities i constantly (as my main char is immortal and therefore lvl 5 celeb) gains new items that are added into said storage.. eventually it will be a problem just like the memories clogging up the save and causing bugs..

maybe i'll just have to do it manually.. but given that many items have 20+ stacks and afaik items can only be deleted one at a time (or all at once hence the crash) i can feel my fingers hurting just thinking about it..

more like:

1) i used mods (cheating) to get a immortal character and keep marrying people

2) lack of game knowledge (i could have just sold the furniture i think instead of saving it)

3) i just had to import a house from the future dlc into the past and that got me several hundreds of items
