Mouse Sensitivity

I know it might not sound much … but if I am ever to move onto DLC I need better camera control.

The middle mouse button is woefully inadequate regarding camera rotation due to the ridiculously slow mouse sensitivity. I have to swipe several times on the same spot just to turn 45 degrees.

Using the icon controls is very tedious, choppy and not apt for video recording. It makes the fluidity of game play somewhat intermittent.

Is there are least short cut keys for ‘rotate camera?’ I can find none at this stage. Has anyone been able to tweak .bat game files or likewise to come up with a solution to this otherwise annoyance?

I really do require a smoother experience. Is Sims 4 like this? I know it’s a different game, but I really can’t play like this.
No disrespect intended to the game itself. I don’t believe I had this issue in Sims 2.

Thank You! That was very helpful. As a left hander I use my right hand on the numerical side of my keyboard and find the default set up quite intiutive now that I can see where the camera keys are at.

Between (-) (+) (,) (.) and the right click mouse and drag command I am now having a much smoother game play experiance. That said, I would say the camera rotation keys could be improved with slightly less sensitivity ... but overall the keyboard keys are a lot better than using the middle mouse button for rotating the camera.

There are camera mods too, though they tend to be created for extremely specific circumstances. Here's one example: http://modthesims.info/d/345987

If there's a particular behavior you're wanting to change in the camera, it might be worth a search for a camera mod that does it.
