Super High FPS (Solved)
So.. I have tried adjusting in game settings, limiting FPS with AMD Control Center/Radeon settings and no matter what I try The Sims 3 will run at 4000 FPS while launching the game then around 800fps while in game.

Is there anything else I can try? :crossout_destroy:

EDIT: See link to fix high FPS issue: https://steamcommunity.com/app/47890/discussions/0/276237094322801186/

For those having issues with The Sims 3 I like to recommend that they read the following guide:

Frame rate, if I remember correctly, is mentioned in section 5; but the entire guide seems to be useful (sooner or later) ...

Why is it bad to have really high framerate?

Mainly because too high a frame rate can overheat the graphics chip causing the computer to crash ...

Also, the if the game tries to display new frames faster than it makes them, then it's just going to waste resources displaying identical frames.
