Nasty Supernaturel Bug - NRAAS Related?
I've started a supernatural play-though recently and have run into a nasty bug, possibly NRAAS related and was hoping this forum could help.

Bug Description: When the Werewolf reaches max level, human form breaks...forever. I am aware of the effects Werewolf form has on the sims energy bar when it comes to how fast it depletes or recharges. Most people would spend time in Werewolf form to get the most out of their long lasting energy and then when it comes time to sleep, transform back into a human. This was the case for me for a long time. However, when werewolf reaches max level, werewolf energy bar machanics persist in human form for all time. Meaning the energy bar will never go back to normal even if you cure or change life states by in game means or with nraas. Human form can also get werewolf specific negative moodlets. My sim now always speaks in a deep voice as if he's in werewolf form.

The only information I've been able to find about this is a forum post from '12 where a person responds to the OP saying its intended design, then linking a description of how the energy bar works in werewolf form. Clearly they did not understand the issue, it's a werewolfs human form that breaks. It's a bug. This CANNOT be the way it was intended. There is no great level of power obtained at max werewolf that necessitate balancing it out in this way and it most certainly would not persist after the sim is no longer a werewolf. I've found no official documentation or wiki entries that suggest that this is the way it should happen at max level werewolf. If I'm wrong, please link sources.

In some dusty back corner of a forum I found a post that suggested this error occurs when a person uses NRAAS MC to edit the character in CAS after it's been created and put into the world. I did in fact do this shortly after creating the character. The post was not made by one of the mod creators and did not receive a response. They suggested starting a character from scratch as in select from EA's pre-created sims, not even one you created and saved yourself, then edit from there and never edit in CAS after the character is made. I'm willing to do this, but I'm afraid I'll train my werewolf all the way up to just have it happen again. So first, does anyone know if this is true? Have you heard of this bug? Do you know how to avoid it? Thank you in advance.

Creating a new sim as suggested did not correct the problem. ♥♥♥♥ this expansion. Nothing but problems, if it weren't for some of the items and traits I would've uninstalled it. It also appears to have nothing to do with editing the character using Nraas to open CAS since I didn't do that this time around.

There were a whole series of issues with editing werewolves in CAS (the NRaas MC version of it) but those were all ironed out years ago. I suspect that either the dusty forum post you found was indeed very old or else the player was using a very outdated version of MC or the Hybrid mod.

I know this is not what you want to hear, but I really think what you are seeing is intended behavior for a Level 10 Lycanthropy skilled werewolf. You may want to bring this issue to us at NRaas to see if other players have found a way to work around it. Or you may want to consider using NRaas StoryProgression to disallow Lycanthropy skill gains once a werewolf reaches Level 8 or 9 (just an idea, not tested or anything) to see if that helps.

Thank you for the response. I believe you. But it's still frustrating, feels like level 10 Lycanthropy is actually a de-level. I can see why some people felt this was a rushed expansion to cash in, albeit late, on the everything must be fantasy and also of course zombies craze. I seem to keep disabling it's features.

Surely though the energy bar mechanics persisting after Lyncanthropy is cured is a bug though right? Do you happen to know how to fix that? I think instead of locking it at level 9 I will try to use herbalism and sleep potions from the generations chemistry set to see if I can manage it more to my liking. I already created a new werewolf and got him all the way up to 10 anyhow. I guess I'll have only the fact that werewolves seem to become filthy rich overnight to comfort me. :steamhappy:

Energy bar changes still stuck after cure: If you haven't already done so, I would try MC Resetting the sim. Or maybe use MC to give them their occult state back, take it away again, and then MC Reset.

Edit: Just to clarify, I mean the Add/Remove Occult commands in MC Cheats. Not by using CAS.

Omg I figured out how to fix this. After suffering this same glitch and looking for answers online I realized a simple solution, especially for cured werewolves. Lycanthropy is a skill like everything else. Just use NRaas MC and go to the afflicted sim's skill level in Advanced. Under lycanthrophy, predictably the skill is still 10, just bring it down to 9. I brought mine down to 10 because my sim had been human for a while and I had no plans to return them to werewolves again. This fixed it easily. I know this an old post but since no one else on the internet found a solution I decided to post mine.

Just disable werewolves out right, in the options. they're retarded anyways.
