If you don't like all the chatter, this can be adjusted. On City Hall or an in-game computer, NRaas > StoryProgression > General Options > All Stories > (and choose some subsets other than all sims to report on).
The Stories already in the queue will need to run out before your changes are honored, so that could take up to a sim day or so to see the difference.
But it looks like it still run as-is. So I asked for double confirmation that this is fine :P
Correct. It just disables the little notices in the upper-right. Most/All of the in-game effects (promotions, engagements, and the like) should be happening in the background, but you won't be notified about them.
And some of us like the incessant chatter. To be fair, I don't really need to know that 200 different sims just reached Level One of the scratching their nose skill or just harvested their first turnip or whatever, but the levels of progression should get more interesting as time goes on. And it's always fun reading about the new romances, marriages, and breakups that the mod pushes, who is doing well in their jobs vs. who is getting demoted, etc. All a matter of taste, really.
Stopping the mod entirely would be NRaas > SP > General Options > Enable Progression > False.
Thanks, guys!
