How to get gigs?
So, I have formed a band. None of my sims are registered from the city hall because there is no option to do so. I am living in starlight shores. I am starting to get calls to play certain things, like a promotion thing for some sort of shop. But, the problem is, that is for one person. Not the entire band. And it isn't exactly a "gig" or a concert. So, how do I get gigs for the entire band?
My second question is will the gigs eventually get to big concert halls, or is it only small bars? Also, do I need to get ambitions to be able to register as a band? Is that possible that isn't why my entire band is getting gigs?

Any help guys?

So, I went ahead and got the ambitions and was able to register as a band at city hall for all four members of my band. Once again, I got an opportunity to perform at a school, but only one of my band members. So, how do I get a band gig?

The gigs thing is a pain in the butt. However I'm not sure what all you are doing in game so it's hard to say what is and is not working. I will assume you have a band together with some other sims? Once you have a band together you get the option to "invite band members". Make sure they are all part of the band and be sure to occasionally invite the band to your home to practice. I sometimes have to tell them more than once to "join jam session" once they are together since they often want to swim or play games or whatever. You get your main sim jamming and then invite the rest in join individually so they are all playing together. (you also need enough space so they actually are together)
When you get the option to preform a gig you need to start very early and get your active sim band members to get to the venue or place where the gig is supposed to be. Then you have to click on the venue or usually the stage, to "call other band memebers to the gig. NOTE: If you have Ambitions and Late Night it is supposed to automatically send all the band members to the gig, but sometimes you have to still prod them yourself. I ususally do this early so they get there on time and that way they are all nearby to start preforming. Most of the time you have to actually click the stage and get your active band members to start the concert.
I have noticed in my short time playing that gigs don't come very often. It seems as if you have to keep your eye out and your head band leader has to be the active one. I have played a house of 6 sims and the only time I get gigs for the two in the home who are band members (the other two are good friends and not a part of the active family) is when I have one of them selected and I'm playing them. I don't know if this is always the case, but it certainly seems that way.

Thanks a bunch for the reply. I got a mod called "Gig manager deluxe" and I gave myself one gig opportunity and it appears to have jump started everything else. I'm getting lots of opportunities. But it appears right now that I'm only able to get offers from Waylon's Haunt. Will that change as I play gigs? When I went to the bouncer to get paid, I got a notification saying that I had been chosen to be the opening act at the dive bars around town, or something like that.

You're welcome, and yes, as you progress in your gigs and your band gets more popular you get better gigs and venues. Just be warned that it's a glitchy thing and apparently EA never bothered to fix it, but I've had some gigs in the nicer places around Bridgeport (the only town where I have an active band) But it will always be places that already have a stage of some sort to preform on.
I am not familiar with that particular mod but I hope it works well for you.

My band got going big, but I've moved on to solo gigs in the singing career. I've been praying for EA to add a revamped band system into the Sims 4. I can only imagine how awesome it would be. It really isolates a big community.

With those promotion gigs only one sim gets the invite but when u attend all members will attend.

Another question for everyone. I've gotten a decent bit of steady gigs, and for some reason they keep being removed from steady. I still have the gig, and the opportunity to make it steady again, but nonetheless. I just removed two mods that I think could be the culprit: Overwatch and Errortrap, but I really don't know.

I don't have as much experience with bands and gig opportunities as others here. But if you really think that those mods are interfering with things, I would suggest opening up a thread about it at NRaas to get our developer's input. That can't possibly be intended.
