Okay, thank you. I didn't know it was that easy LOL. I've been trying to click the sim, but of course homeless can't be made active.
Aslo, how does the pollinate work? I get so confused. I ended up making a man pregnant by accident.
I just want to get some babies in my town, but if I "pollinate" a female will it use my selected sim as the father? I know that when it shows relationships is always giving the relationship to whatever sim I have selected when I do the serach. Even if I do it from City Hall. Do I have to make that family active and then pollinate? There are no explinations online that I can find and the mod page doesn't go into detail and I don't want another male pregnancy.
"Pollinate" makes the target Sim pregnant by whichever other Sim you choose. If you're concerned about male pregnancies, then only use the pollinate interaction on female Sims because MC's approach is "you're the boss and I am totally good with that."
When you first select the target Sim and choose the Pollinate interaction, you are presented with a series of filters so that you don't have to scroll through the whole town to locate the other parent. But if you If you know specifically who you want to be the other parent (or feel like a bit of randomness), it's probably easier to just close the filter screen and scroll through the town. Select the other parent on the next screen, click the checkmark and you will receive a message to the effect that the target has been successfully pollinated. Wait the three Sim-days and the population increases by one (or two or three - twins or triplets are possible).
If you'd rather have the target Sim become pregnant by their current significant other (you can find out who that is by looking at Status on Master Controller), there is also a partner pollinate interaction. I have never used it (it's much more fun to manually sow chaos), but the documentation leads me to believe that Sims who have no significant other will be unaffected by the interaction.
If it does turn out that your Sim ended up as the other parent, you can also use Master Controller to fix that. Click on the child -> NRaas -> Master Controller -> Advanced -> Family -> Remove Parent, select your Sim, and click the checkmark. Then repeat, selecting "Add Parent" this time. You'll get the same filter screen that pops up with Pollinate, close it if you aren't comfortable with the filtering process (it takes some getting used to, but it's really handy in large neighborhoods with multiple generations of Sims), and then scroll through the town to find the lucky winner. I do not know whether this will change the "genetic" background of the child, but it will certainly reflect in the Family Tree.
I have not run into that issue before, but it is possible that they are being teleported to something like Sim Day Care during the day or possibly are out with one of their parents. Try a simpler method. Make your Sim meet the toddler so that they appear in the relationships tab. You can do this in-game (visiting the household around 7pm or 8pm normally works as almost everyone will usually be home), or you can use Master Controller (click your Sim -> NRaas -> Master Controller -> Intermediate -> Relationships by Category -> close the filter screen -> find the Sim on the town list and select it -> click the checkmark -> select "Acquaintance" (or whatever) on the next screen -> click the checkmark -- it gives you a few positive relationship points with them). Once they appear on the relationships tab, you can click their portrait -> NRaas -> Master Controller -> Focus and the screen will zoom to their current location. They will also now appear as a portrait on their home when they are at home. It will clutter up your relationships tab, though.
NRaas StoryProgression, which I know the OP does not want to use, does not allow this to happen.
I have debated using this mod A LOT!
I read up on the NRaas SP mod and it says that it can be a lot for a system to handle.I do okay with this game on my older computer ( 8 GB Ram and A8-6500 APU Radeon HD Graphics 3.50Ghz System 64bit. x64 based processor)
But I've had issues with my favorite game, Cities Skylines running well on this PC. It's gotten so big that it lags terribly and so I've been mainly playing older games like Sim3. ( I am so ready to go back to Cities Skylines, but I need a better system first and that's going to be awhile)
I am just nervous about the game getting even more laggy or more glitchy. I know everyone keeps saying it's not supposed to cause issues, but even the mod page tells you there can be problems and to use at your own risk. I've had other mods and assets crash other games in the past, I don't know why this one would be so different. If I were more adept at understanding how everything works and how to use it all I would be happy to try more. Perhaps as I learn more I will get there. Thanks for the info.
Note though that it's all easily removable if it doesn't work out. Most players on strong enough systems to be playing the game in the first place manage to strike a balance between its adjustable speed of progression and acceptable game performance.
But anyway, I was only explaining where the culling (removal of not actively played sims) was most likely coming from and how there is little to nothing the player can do about that without some form of mod protection on them.
