Why can't we get the SIMS 1 on STEAM ? =[

The first is the best because all the other ones are too complex and I like the simplicity of the first game. But, how come we don't see it on Steam?

I used to think that graphic makes a game. But, the Sims 1 is a testament that graphic don't matter.. and that gameplay triumpth all.

if someone were to want to play the original Sims on their PC, but can't find it...it did come out for PS2. Just sayin'. How would you play a PS2 game on your PC? I couldn't say >.>

I still have mine (in the box!), but the only DLC I ever bought was Hot Date (also have the box).

They have classic sonic on steam i dont see how the sims 1 can't .. it's the greatest sim to date because the soundtrack and level of simplicity was on point

Sims 1 is broken on windows 10 it runs but has awful bugs/graphic glitches It will need a lot of work to get it in a playable state or they could package it with a win 98 VM.

was looking for sims 1&2 on steam & found this post instead... just commenting in case some EA social media manager is out here gauging interest ... it's just silliness to not release them, refusing to sell legitimate copies of "outdated" games is giving up potential profit & reputation gains for ... what even? pride I guess? idek :-(

It's all about the money: estimated sales won't cover the cost to update the old game for modern systems.

they gave away the sims 2 a few years ago but i missed it, now its impossible to get the sims 2 unless your willing to pay a few hundred $

I still play the GameCube version of Sims 1 from time to time but the PC version is much better. I'd love a re-release on Steam, no need to remaster, just make it compatible with modern systems.

I would be interested in hearing from Sims 1 faithfuls why it's their favourite for currently I do find it harder to understand what they see in it than even Sims 4, at least that apparently has really refined building tools and what not leading many to say it's the best for if you just want to build. So yeah, interested to learn what I may be missing!

We can't even get Sims 2. Better to ask why they don't offer it at places that offer older games fixed to run on modern machines.
