Why can't we get the SIMS 1 on STEAM ? =[
The first is the best because all the other ones are too complex and I like the simplicity of the first game. But, how come we don't see it on Steam?

I used to think that graphic makes a game. But, the Sims 1 is a testament that graphic don't matter.. and that gameplay triumpth all.

Mostly because EA doesn't want to. And aside from being on the outs with Steam, EA probably doesn't want to mess with the headaches of making a Win9x game designed for DirectX7 and a Pentium II processor work with current hardware and OSs.

they should make an HD version or something because it's such a great game and they really need to remaster it! easy money i think

Yeah, I dunno. I think if they made a remaster, knowing EA, they'd sell it on Origin only, and then ask $40 a pop for it. I'm not sure how well that would really sell.

I have actually contacted EA on their website about this before. They say that they do not own the rights to the Sims 1 and 2, therefore making it where they can't re-release it onto steam/origin.

How about sims 4?
That was pulled out because EA thought people would start to use origin if they kept those games to themselves. We all know how that ended.

nah steam is the biggest gaming platform.. it just means more money for EA

they dont sell sims 1 anymore, nor the sims 2, they were giving out sims 2 a while back and i was just lucky enough to grab hold of it for free but when i asked about sims 1 they said they wasnt selling or giving it out because its too old.

I feel like the sims 1 is such an important game to be forgotten.. it was revolutionary for its time and I hope it gets a good remaster it deserves

I'd purchase Sims 1 with all expansions on steam/origin in a heartbeat. Sadly, I doubt it'll ever happen. :Sadclot:

dont say that i think they should remake the sims 1 using latest engine but keeps all the simplicity of the original

GOG for sims 1 for $9.99 would probably be a insta buy. Anything higher would turn me off. Sims 2 ultimate edition probably $19.99 but I'd wait for a sale

Just wait for sims5 and they will give away sims 1-3 ultimate for free again.
Sims4 they gave away sims 1 and 2 complete (2 via code for all to claim, 1 as a special deal at a steam several copies) they likely gonna do that aswell for sims5 - just wait another 2 years :steammocking:
