My family tree broke

Hi, so basically a few days ago I was playing sims and decided to delete a sim(with cheats) because I couldnt be bothered to kill it as it took too much time. Later that day I saved the game and today I turned it on to see my family tree being messed up. Since I've played on one for for like 50 hours, I obviously care about the family tree and the eight generations existing there. The family tree in certain places would have no blue lines connecting children, and when I'd click on the child only it and their half sibling would come up. Usually in family trees you can explore other sims and click on others ect but here once you clicked on the family member with no lines connected, it wouldnt go back and it could completly break. So I decided to restore and old save but it was also corrupted. Does anyone know how to fix this? I don't want to start again because this took so long and I need the family tree as I want to take over the entire town and make everyone connected to it. Thanks ~

Just as in RL if you remove an important piece out of a puzzle it will not be complete. It's a domino/butterfly effect.
IDK what cheats you have installed, but I've been able to fix some family trees using the MC Cheats. It's kind of complicated and you can mess it up too, I accidently made one of my two parents the kids grandparent and never was able to fix things. But if you have that mod installed I'd give it a shot. You just have to understand how the family tree works and how each sim is related. If you remove the link to two family lines then they are no longer connected..
Also, I wish I could give details on how and what to click on with that mod, but it's just so confusing to me as it is and IDK what link you pulled from your tree. Just try to kill them off next time. Fire works great if you have the cheats because you just give them the "on fire" moodlet and try not to have any sims around who can put them out.
Anyway, if you do have the Nraas MC Cheats it's under "Basic" and you just "add parent" or "add child" or "add sibling" to whomever needs to be connected back up.

I used the basic in game cheats (testingcheatsenabled true and then shift clicked and pressed "delete it") but I will look into that, thank you
