Yes, it's that first link of the two I posted. I think the link to download it is toward the bottom of that page.
Thank you everyone and to Mr Calavera, good advice. I know this and I will still eff up and forget to back up games before doing things. So being reminded is a good thing! :-)
http://nraas.wikispaces.com/Awesome
Awesome is a Core Mod and only customizable up to a point using its optional configuration tool and console commands, NRaas mods (other than ErrorTrap) are Script Mods and much more flexible to the player. The two developers took very different approaches to their mod development but respected each other enough to make their mods more or less work together in most cases rather than fight each other in-game but running both does give the player a bit more to manage and be aware of.
Edit: Should add that Awesome will kick up the core version mismatch warning at startup because as far as I know its developer never made it officially compatible with the Steam version of the game. If that's the only reason that the core mismatch error appears, and if the player can click through it, then it's harmless. If the game instead minimizes to the taskbar and there is no way to click through the warning, then Awesome becomes useless. Different players have different experiences with that built-in warning.
I think I will just stick with Overwatch and Error trap. I love what the Awesome Mod is supposed to do. It's too bad the Dev's didn't make the game that way to begin with. If a modder can fix those issues then IMO the Dev's should have taken care of those issues a long time ago. Do they even play the games they develop?
I love this game so much, but the annoying issues are REALLY annoying. Things like the whole grounding teens and kids paradox or the complaining endlessly when they can't move somewhere. (that's fine if they are actually stuck, but mostly they just do it about every little thing and I want to punch them. LOL)
The actual progression of towns under Awesome's StoryMode is typically much slower than NRaas SP can move. Awesome's method of progression dictates that the things that happen around town must be taking place on screen instead of much of it being pretend and reported on by stories with the effects then applied to the sims. Whether all that extra activity happening more slowly is a downside or a selling point is of course up to the player.
I think players who do want an alternative to EA's story progression and who are willing to experiment should consider trying both methods (at different times and/or on different ongoing game saves of course) to get a feel for how each one works.
