into the future question
finally getting around to checking out into the future and was just wandering, if i buy a house in the future will i still have my house in the past intact or will i have to live in the future? also can i have kids in the future then go back to the present and not have to worry about them following me to the present they'll stay in the future where they belong?

When you travel to the future everything in the present will stay exactly like how you left it behind. You can have 2 homes and travel with your household back and forth between time. You can have kids in the future, but kids can not be left behind without an other adult sim present in one of the times. Also be aware that the max household is still 8. If your household is 8 in the present then you can't have babies in the future... or you will have to use mods.

You can't leave any of your household in the Future. They all have to return to the present.

Keep in mind that your actions in the PRESENT may influence some aspects in Oasis Landing such as your descendents. Sometimes you'll find the descendents you had befriended are gone. Also, if you trigger the Utopian/Dystopian events, the future world will change considerably.

theres goes my dreams of impregnating everyone in the future then going back to the present to avoid the alimony

I'm pretty sure you can still do that. If you impregnate a Sim, their children won't be in your household unless the mother is. Now, if you use the "Engineer a Baby" interaction at the hospital, then the kid will be added to your household regardless who the other parent is.
