Here's the schedule for the Sims 3 Store Daily Deal: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1NIeS9yIMAw-fA7VhseLilqCOV5XfKoSJXwbyyKQLJP4/edit#gid=882235701 (be sure to hop to the "Current Rotation" tab)
Also, fwiw, some of the towns (Dragon Valley and Aurora Skies, definitely) still have disk versions out there in places. I picked up each for just a few dollars from the online Walmart store. Unlike Expansion packs bought on disk, the towns are fully compatible (you just register the CD key and then download them from the store).
But if still not there after some time passes, it would be back to customer support to fix that. The reason for providing the 1,900 points in the gold version is so that the Renaissance Faire Venue can be obtained, this is the one that comes with the violin and archery, though the points can be used for other things instead.

I had planned to buy that with it, yes, since it seriously should just have come with that world, but we have to be nickel and dimed to an extent, the is EA, but that deal is no longer what is actually being sold it seems. Origin lists the contents of the pack as just including celtic lands pack. No simpoints. So I expect if I want the rest of that stuff Ill have to pay more money. Because they can just point to the actual origin page where the purchase happens and how it doesnt mention simpoints anywhere. And the sims 3 store page just directs you to origin when you try to buy the things it charges actual money for.
I find it difficult to believe though that the points that were to be be included in the gold pack are not meant to part of the package any longer even though Origin doesn't list them and would still attempt to follow up with customer support about this. A whole lot of things, some not very nice, can be said about EA but they don't have a huge reputation for providing click-throughs to take our money and then simply flat out not deliver what was originally promised.
It's actually to our advantage (when this works as it should) to be given points for related content like the Renaissance Faire because some players may have already acquired the venue independently of having purchased Dragon Valley and could put those points to good use on other things.
Definitely get the points - it's worth it, and they owe it to you. If they don't want to pay out the 1900 points, then they need to modify the page that advertises it not just have it lead you to another page that lists the same price but doesn't mention the points. (I'm fairly sure that's against consumer protection laws in like all countries and US states.)
Edit:
So, contacted customer service, took 40 or so minutes, they were unable to help or give me the points, but have passed me up the chain to someone who can and gave me 15% off next purchase on top of that. So, overall it was definitely worth it to contact them and figure out what was up with that deal.
And no, not everyone subscribes to the it's awesome, it's free, arrr and gimmee that route to obtain digital assets. :)
