Dateing in sims3 bugged?

I've noticed lately that whenever I try to have my sims date, the date last all day and all night and doesn't finish, does anyone else have this problem? Any solutions or suggestions? Please help, thanks.

No issues at my end. You should have the option to end the date yourself.

I have the option to end the date but, it doesn't say how the date went or have a moodlet... and it doesn't fullfill the "have date with such and such sim" wish. It should but it doesn't.

Are you using mods that might be interfering by any chance? With NRaas mods (and I'm pretty sure without), I always get a report on how the date went and the respective moodlets for good and bad ones even if the date in question was a mistake to begin with -- sending two romantic interests to the grocery store or home from a lot at the same time isn't much of an intended date to me for example.

In addition to ending the date by social interaction, I believe you should be able to right-click (or some kind of click) on the date or group-up indicator on one of the sims in the portrait panel on the left side of the screen although that should really give the same kind of results to the date or group-up as any other ending to it.

I don't have any mods and they had a date at the corsican bistro, and had romantic interactions, then went swimming and went to other community lots. When I end dates by clicking "ask to end date" it just ends and there is no moodlet or eplaination how it went. I suppose dancing at a nice outlet isn't that romantic enough for my sims either. But it never said anything!

But I could click on the sim portrait thing and see how that goes on the left side of the screen. Never had this trouble before.

This is kind of a wild guess, but did they go swimming at a beach? Beach lots tend to confuse parties that we might try to schedule there because technically the water is on the World Lot (meaning not on any lot at all) whereas the beach itself might be a community lot. If sims who are supposed to be on a date spend time on different lots from each other, or so the game thinks, it might be terminating the date improperly on its own.

If the swimming was in a pool at a swimming or athletic club/gym, then of course this wouldn't apply.

ah, I tried it again and my sim froze for a few minutes then it had the other sim saying they had a great time... must just be glitchy or something

they didn't go swimming this time in the ocean.

I don't have problems. If you want to have a great date you need at least half a day of activities. Now the most common cause of your problem is your "group" breaking up when issuing commands. Make sure when you move to different lots you use the "go here with" or "dine here with".
