Sims 3 Rendering Issues?
Soo, some weird issue with rendering when my pets on this game are out of the render distance. If i scroll in close enough my pet looks fine, however, scrolling out to an extent causes minor choppy graphical distortions (for ex: my dog has a pink collar and long tail - when im scrolled close to the dog it looks fine, if i scroll out the dog's collar vanishes and it's tail disappears and leaves a hole in its butt. If i scroll back in to the render distance it's fine. Same thing happens with long haired dogs/cats - scrolled in i can see long hair, scroll out and it portrays the animal as a short-haired version. Horses have blocky-ish figures when scrolling out, but appear normal when scrolled in.) Any potential fix for this?

My specs are above the required - I use ASUS ROG, i have an intel i7 + nvidia gtx 980m; however, it does state that my graphics card isn't recognized.

All i can suggest is playing around with the graphics settings, i get the same problem but it may just be as the game is quite old

What about forcing your DirectX back to level 9 ..

You go to steam-sims3 launch options and set it there .. else your newer graphics card runs dx11++

This game wasn't made for gtx 980 for gawd sakes ... cheers though, I like ASUS ROG systems

This isn't one I'm real familiar with but I've heard some mention that they have this issue due to some anti-aliasing settings, and that they fix it by going into their video card control panel and setting anti-aliasing to "application controlled".
