Any way to slow down days?
By the time I wake up at 10am and make breakfast and eat it is already 4pm.. After I use the bathroom it is 6pm. It is pretty stupid and unrealistic. Can't get anything done. What is going on?

Well, you can use NRaas Relativity. I really have no idea how to use that mod and never used it before, but it should allow you to do what you want. Link : http://nraas.wikispaces.com/Relativity

Thanks! This should save me a refund. Hope I can get it working.

In broad effect it's pretty simple, but it does have a great deal of granularity, so you really should read the documentation. For what you're describing, you want to slow down the passage of time because activities take too long. I'm working from memory here, but I belive the game's default is 37, so setting it to something like 18 or 19 would effectively halve the amount of clock-time it takes to complete an action (animations are not affected). Installation is just unzipping and dropping the .package file into your \Mods\Packages folder; no biggie.

Yeah, I figured it out. I am running mine on 17. It made the game 5x better. Thanks for taking the time to help me.

The other option is to extend your sims lifespan via age sliders. Taking vacations also stops your aging till its over and a number of Sims3Store items and expansions add life states (such as vampires) or do things to extend your life.

I've used that mod in the past. At first I thought the same but then as time went on I found that it harmed the game more then helping it. Sometimes I took time off work (in game) to give my sim extra time. Sometimes I have my sims stay unemployed and spend a day collecting rock to sell. The more you play the more you'll find shortcuts and tricks to make things faster.

My main issue is how long something takes the sim to do. It just hurts the realism for me. It shouldn't be lunch by the time you finish breakfast. :/

Although I don't usually found this a problem, I really miss that spell which stops time in TS2:AL. Ah, good ol' days :)

this has been a problem since the first sims game, it shouldn't take 2 hours to take a shower and eat a bowl of cereal. it's super irritating to wake up 90 minutes early and still not have time for a cup of coffee or even being able to use the bathroom before work

Exactly. I am thankful for modders.
