Supposedly, they can also fix the issues with Island Paradise's horrible lag.
(I never experienced the issue myself, because I downloaded the fixed .world file for it, which corrected the 2 issues that caused the lag (one house's poor furniture placement, and one pregnant sim that didn't get maternity leave like she's supposed to have))
But still, it's good to have options.

ErrorTrap is also good at catching Sims when they get stuck, and can reset thier location, fixing any lag (and likely saving the Sim's life).
And it's good at removing despawned objects (like cars) from the game. Each night, I get the report that it removed about 3,000-6,000 cars.
A lot less junk data for the game to struggle with.

So yeah, for newcomers to the game, NRAAS's Overwatch and ErrorTrap are highly recommended.
Even if you don't like mods, and just want the vanilla game, you still should get those two at least, as they fix countless bugs and lag.
Honestly, I'd love to know that myself.
I'm guessing when Sims are moving from lot of lot, the game is failing to despawn their cars correctly?
But I really don't know what's going on with my game.
