The Sims™ 3

Life Fruit Seed + End of Generation Cram.
My sim turns Elder today (The day it was one when I quit for the night) and he has to get 10 life fruit for his master invention. But I don't think he'll be able to get 40,000 Happiness points by the end of his life for Collection Helper. Even if he can, he still has to find them, plant them and do the other steps! And I have to repeat this until I have 30 life fruit for 3 monster. And 3 Palladium, JOY. My first couple are going to pass within the same 2 day span of eachother, and I want them to leave behind 3 robots some descendants and money. How can I get the life fruit seed taking all of this into account? I have a hunt trained dog if it helps. He's the dog that found the palladium in fact! I'm going to be excrusiatingly upset if my first successful Sim playthrough ends with my main guy NOT doing the thing his entire life was building up to! Plus, his wife can't even retire from being a firefighter as an elder so she can finish her lifetime wish of saving 30 people! Meaning my 2 Sims are going to be busting their asses until they die to ensure a happy future for their descendants. If they even visit that is. I've tried for 2 babies in the past and I'm waiting for them to come. If they don't I'm screwed. As it's too late to have kids the old fashioned way. I have 2 kids from the future but I evicted them because they suck and came as elders. So they roam the town. But I need a past baby because according to the Wiki, babies from the past come as a teen or young adult! The plan is they come with a bunch of preset personality traits and random wish, and I revolve the rest of their life around that. It's meant to be more exciting than just picking it all myself! I may honestly not launch the game tomorrow until I have this sorted out. I might even make my sims have sex all day in the time machine until the husband ages so kids come. But can the time machine even fail? I don't want several, I want like 2-3! Hopefully one of them will be so special I'll want to move towns to a fresh new start, perfect for their dreams. I'd like if their great grandkids road horses in Apaloosa Plains, or I last 5 generations until now until I've done all my copy has to offer, and I buy a new expansion to freshen it up, (Thinking of turning someone into a vampire after I get supernatural to go with Late Night)

It's easy to find special seeds with the guides on Carl's Sims 3 Guide. I don't know which one to link because I don't know which town you're playing in but here's the one for Sunset Valley: http://www.carls-sims-3-guide.com/sunsetvalley/

Update: Oh, and I forgot to say, In the event that I'm SCREWED without cheat codes, that's a suitable answer.

Life Fruits ? ... or life Fruit Seeds ? Does it matter which ?, cause seeds would likely be unidentified until you grow it and find out what the seed is ?

If it were me, I'd load an old gameSave when I had a GreenThumb Gardener and somehow import the Life Fruits from the old game into your new game.
- like export a Sim character (with life fruits in inventory) or export the property that had the garden you need.

Else the cheat console may allow you to insert Life Fruit Plants into your current game.

Yeah, if you use the buydebug cheat, you can place already grown life plants in your lot.

If I were that desperate, that's what I'd do - use buy debug.

As for the other - how about adoption?

In case you guys didn't notice, I was trying to avoid using cheat codes unless it was unlikely I'd get anywhere without them.

I'm a noob this is my only save game. The guy I have here has the super green thumb wish and is level 8 in gardening though, so growing them isn't really an issue.

And I'll make sure to try the other recommendations.

I'd recommend using "save as," as well. (Gives you the option to go back to a previous point.)

Yes, I totally agree !

Most all gamers should be doing this with other game titles as well.

Designers and engineers do this .. allows them to go back in time before the mistake was made or a catastrophic event occurred (like power outage durring a fileSave).

I cannot find the TwinBrook town guide on the website. Where it says the seed locations.

There may not be one for Twinbrook...

Wait- Would it be easier to just find 10 life fruit or grow them? I was saying seeds because usually you can turn 1 seed into like 30 fruit if you know what you're doing.

I only have about 5 expansion packs .. I don't have the ability to convert fruits/vegetables to seeds. So there's likely some aspects of the game I do not fully understand.

I only know how to plant seeds .. and hope for a good harvest season.

I tried letting fruit rot on the ground, hoping seeds would be left after decomposition .. but no luck.

That would be awesome if I could get perfect seeds from my perfect plants.

You just plant the fruits and veggies lol. Grow the seeds, harvest the crops. Keep some of the produce because it can be planted into more. 1 apple seed can turn into an orchard.

Ok, I thought there was an expansion pack that had a seed replicator or something.

As far as getting more seeds/fruit fast .. it's cheating, but I create a mule sim and fill inventory with fruits/seeds I have.. then export sim & exit game without saving.. Then bring same mule sim back into a reLoaded game and double his inventory of fruits/seeds.

This can make sims and housholds buggy though .. "doubling inventories".
- There's ways though to reset houshold inventory .. and clean up bugs like that.

If you have the World Adventures expansion, there are harvestable Life Fruit plants at the bottom of the Pyramid of the Sky in Egypt. You'll need to get Pangu's Axe from China to get rid of three large rocks before you can get to them, though. On the bright side, your Sim does not age when away from their hometown, but there is a cool-down period before being able to travel again, so a trip to China to get the Axe (it's a quest from the Adventure Board, wihch kind of randomly appears, so save-scumming is about the only way of getting it with certainty in a limited time), a cool-down period of a few days, and a trip to Egypt to get the Life Fruit, Your Level 0 Visa lets you stay 3 days, so you should be able to get in a couple of harvests that won't count against your Sim's age.

As for the time constraint, the easiest way around this is to go into your game's settings and simply lengthen the Elder life stage (no cheat - it's right there in the game settings) and it won't affect any Sim who isn't an Elder.
