Max mood glitch.
My sims mood bar is constantly full. At first I thought I was just rocking at the game and they were just very happy, but after about 5 hours I realized my game is bugged. How do I fix this? It isn't "cool" in any regard, it takes out a lot of fun when your Sim is happy no matter how terrible of a day they are having. I like to feel like I earned it. There is no reason for a Sim who is on fire, had false rumours spread about them, starving to death, and grieving should have maximum mood >.>

The first thing I'd try is resetting my Sim. Open the console (control + shift + c) and type in: resetSim <SimFirstName> <SimLastName>. For example, if my sim were named Jolly Happyface, I'd type in: resetSim Jolly Happyface

another thing is you might have your needs on static press control c and click on the box that appears at the top of the screen type in testingcheatsenabled true no capitals and no spaces then shift slick on the mailbox and a option to disable making all needs static will apear.

As MGA said if you have the static mood cheat on which is triggered through using the cheat counsol, typing testingcheatsenabled true, and then shift clicking the households mail box selecting the static mood setting. Though if this is the case which most likely it could be, try to reset the sims, if that does not work then I am not sure what else you could do that would not envolving deleting your progress. Another thing you can do if this is the cause is simply turn it off by doing the same thing as I explained to turn it on, it will just say something like make moods dynamic instead of make moods static.

I never had this issue before without using the static mood setting, so if that is not the issue hopefully someone else will have better advice for you.

I've tried all this by finding solutions on other forums! It's apparently a glitch that's affected hundreds of players for over 5 years. A miscalculation/override of the "Well Rested" moodlet. But I can't find anything saying EA has released a patch for this well known glitch. It could be worse though, the original version of the glitch made them have minimum mood 24/7.
