Then where are your user files for the game?

AFAIK, the game will only put those in the Documents folder, as known by Windows.

So if you open your Documents folder, is there one inside it called Electronic Arts?

I have Sims 3 installed on a different drive to C, but my user files still go to Documents > Electronic Arts > The Sims 3. There's no way to change the game wanting to do that ... except if you have OneDrive installed. Then it sometimes gets confused.

Just to chime in on this in addition to the folder location issue, the music files have a few other requirements in order to work. First, makes sure that they are all .mp3 files and that the bitrate is no higher than 320kbps. Most players I have spoken with who have managed to get it to work consistently go as low as 128kbps, but 320kbps is the absolute cap. Second, strip out any embedded cover art; the game will choke on that. Third, they have to be in the folder as loose files (no folders) and only use standard English characters in the file names (BlueÖysterCult won't work because of that umlaut and I avoid spaces just by habit, but they might be OK). Fourth, don't use wall-speakers. For some strange reason, they have frequent problems dealilng with custom music.
