There are links to both CC Magic and SimPE in my guide, below, and links to tutorials on combining custom content - see section 3.8:

I tried S3PE before, and it didn't work, so that's why I used CC Magic. I guess I just have to find out which ones are conflicting, because the same thing happened with S3PE. Is there an easy way to tell which ones are conflicting, or do I really have to constantly boot the game and check?

I think I found a program similar to what you are talking about. It's called Delphy's Dashboard Tool. It can check for corrupt, duplicate, conflicting, and Sims 2 files. I just organized my packages with it and am testing the game right now to see if they show up.

Good luck.
I removed any conflicting files and merged the packages again, now the game won't detect anything. Even if I put my mods (not merged) in the packages folder, they won't show up.
How did I ♥♥♥♥ up a game so badly?
