CC Magic- CC not showing up
I merged a bunch of stuff in CC Magic, but only some of it is showing up. This is getting very frustrating. :steamsad::steamsalty:

I saw the earlier post on this, too, but didn't answer because I didn't have much useful to say beyond: if the CC Magic one isn't working, try using the SimPE method. Though, it's possible some of the mods are conflicting once combined; instead of combining everything in one folder, perhaps just try to cut down the number of individual files - e.g., 15 or 20 to one new file.

There are links to both CC Magic and SimPE in my guide, below, and links to tutorials on combining custom content - see section 3.8:

I tried S3PE before, and it didn't work, so that's why I used CC Magic. I guess I just have to find out which ones are conflicting, because the same thing happened with S3PE. Is there an easy way to tell which ones are conflicting, or do I really have to constantly boot the game and check?

Unfortunately, the only way I know is keep booting and testing. The game doesn't really offer a half-way point to check those things and see what's loading and what isn't.

I don't do tons of CC aside from Store stuff, so can only say "trust cruinne" on how to resolve and check, but I did go over to the official forums and ask whether there is a community utlity similar to TESVEdit or FO4Edit that will analyze your mods and highlight conflicts. I'll let you know if anyone points to anything useful. The thread is here if you'd like to check on it yourself:

I think I found a program similar to what you are talking about. It's called Delphy's Dashboard Tool. It can check for corrupt, duplicate, conflicting, and Sims 2 files. I just organized my packages with it and am testing the game right now to see if they show up.

That was actually similar to the first suggested utility on the other thread, so you're ahead of the game.

Good luck.

Good luck.

I removed any conflicting files and merged the packages again, now the game won't detect anything. Even if I put my mods (not merged) in the packages folder, they won't show up.

How did I ♥♥♥♥ up a game so badly? :steamfacepalm: :steamfacepalm:

Be sure to remove the cache files. They can really mess with whether or not things show up.
