No Social Worker Arriving

So, I had a household and I wanted to adopt a pet. I got the message that the pet will be cleaned up and will arrive soon. I waited for awhile and then I noticed I could adopt an animal again. I tried that, and the first pet I wanted to adopt had my household's last name as if I already had the pet. I tried many different things with this household but decided to start new. I did and that didn't work. I copied the household and went to Sunset Valley where I was in Starlight Shores before. I have NRaas and I have tried resetting the town, the lot, my sims and even total annilalation. Still no luck. I think it is a routing issue but it could be something else. Please help me and if you also think it is routing please link me a mod where I can fix it. Thank you very much!

This is one that I'm going to claim "not sure". If you tried resetting the town, then something is definitely hung and your mods aren't dealing with it. I'm not sure who/what you TA'd, so couldn't say what effect it had, if any. So let's try something a little different. First, save your game with a new filename. Then go through your house and put any unique items (lifetime rewards, paintings your Sim produced, and that kind of thing) into your household inventory. We're going to save your household to the bin, which will preserve your Sim's current skills, traits, and you'll get the cash value of your possessions added to your family funds. I think you lose business investments, so you might want to either sell them before saving (use any computer or your smartphone), or cheat yourself those funds later using either the console or Master Controller. So go into Edit Town mode, click on your household (it will be the only green one), and save them to the bin (the little button with the folder on it).

Since you're in Sunset Valley, start a new game there, but rather than go through the Create a Household stuff, place your saved household back into that house or another one. Your relationships with everyone outside of your household will be reset to "Stranger" and you'll still have to deal with the mascot (University Life) and Mysterious Portal (Into the Future) showing up, but anything else that had been awaiting execution before you saved to the bin will be cancelled.
