My sim died alone at University
Ok, I have a couple and their daughter reached young adult life, and the first thing I did was to make her go to college. I was finishing college and was around campus on a date (generations or seasons expansion I think), and suddenly the sky went black (as it showed on a red message) and a meteor came striking down everyone near there, including my sim. I do have the ambitions expansion, but I didn't know the red message was for that, I just thought something curious (and not deadly) was going to happen.

Part 2 - I decided to not reload my save and go back to my hometown to go on a quest to make her parents bring her back to life (there wasn't nobody else in the uni to get her tumbstone inside their inventory). Then I saved my game. When I played the game again, I wondered were did the tombstone go. It wasn't in the mail, it wasn't in the parents inventory, it wasn't in the manage tombstones in the graveyard and it wasn't in the university when I made the dad enroll there just to check out (ok, I didn't look much, but I don't think it was there anyway). So where is it?

They don't "go" anywhere since there's no graveyard in the University world. They might just be deleted. Is her picture still in the parent sims relationship panel?

No, she vanished, but she was in ghost form in the family tree. Well, too bad, I think I'm going to start another family, then.

Revenge of the Murphy Bed or Soda Machine or just one too many Rants Against Death?

Anyway, if admittedly faulty memory works, when a Sim dies at Uni and there is no other member of the household in that world, their remains are either in the family inventory or in the mausoleum in the home neighborhood. Snag the remains and wait around for the "Oh, My Ghost" opportunity from the Science facility, which lets you turn them into playable Ghosts.

If Supernatural is installed, a Witch with a high Spellcasting skill can cast the Reanimation Ritual on the Ghost, which turns them into a zombie. Smack 'em with a Cure Potion (Alchemy) or a Sunlight Charm (Witch) to turn them back into regular Sims.

There's your answer.

And lucky! I own both Ambitions and University Life and have never had a meteor! And I was an avid Sims fan from 2009 - 2015
