The Sims™ 3

The Sims™ 3

Neighbors vanishing
So I've started a project in an empty world which I'm populating by creating clones of my Sim (not using the editor I'm doing it with Clone Drones). I've run into a bug where, once I create a clone and move him out, he becomes invisible after a while. I can't see him at all, his thought bubbles appear just above ground but that's it. Also I can't move the household out without bulldozing the lot. By doing that and moving the Sim and his kids into my house, they become visible again, but it's a temporary fix.

I think it has something to do with the career outfit they get, I usually get the clones jobs before they move out and their career outfit is always invisible. What can I do about this?

yeah ive had an issue with cloned sims too. maybe you should change one of the clones so that they're technically different from another? you can revert the Sims back to a safe and neutral state if they bug out by pressing Shift + Ctrl + C to open up the cheat console, and then type in resetsim (firstname) (lastname). replace firstname and lastname with the Sim's full name. i think there's a cheat to reset all the Sims but i forget the code.

He's necroposted quite a few threads.

I'm actually a bit conflicted on what to do.
On the one hand, I'm tempted to report him for necroposting (which is against the rules).
But on the other hand, at least he's trying to help people (or at least post solutions for posterity's sake and future users).

I don't want to report someone just for them trying to be helpful.
At the same time, some of these threads were posted over 6 years ago!
I'm pretty sure a lot of those people have either long given up, or found the solution and just never posted it.

Lol the Steam community mods wont ban me so long as my necros are helpful and constructive. And if Steam Support gets involved, they'd just give me a light temporary ban and tell me next time to not necro so much threads. There doesn't seem to be any developer appointed mods for Sims 3 so tough luck trying to get EA to intervene.

Also this forum is full of ppl complaining so yes it is for helping future and currently new players. I know first hand how it's like to receive no help when asked so I'm giving them something that I was somewhat denied my entire life.
