It did not work for me so I am back on win 7 and enjoying my games pity because win 10 was nice and fast altogether better but force drivers very bad if not working

As you can see on video game works for me completely fine. What's your hardware specification?

My hame crashes when it reaches the title screen. :( I've validated cache to no avail.

Running Win10 Pro, on GeForce 970 (latest drivers), 16 GB RAM.

Are you maybe using some tools like sweetfx or aa injectors applied to the game? Or do you have some aa methods forced in nvidia control panel?
durtalique Aug 15, 2015 @ 6:18am
Game's not modded, and I've resetted all settings of the Nvidia Control Panel, except for the SLI.

Oh, it is sli. Try with disabled sli then as sometimes multi-gpu configurations may cause such odd behavior.

I'm going to reinstall the whole game. Since I'm using an SSD for OS and HDD for games, when I upgraded to Win10 (then proceeded to do a clean install), I only reinstalled Steam and it recognized my whole library. Much games kept working without a trouble, but some not.

So, I'm gonna try to reinstall and see if that has anything to do with the problem. If not, gonna try disabling SLI.

I believe this games is from 2010, ain't it? I think multi-gpu didn't become a developing trend until 2012.

Multi-gpu was invented by 3dfx company which doesn't exist anymore so it is nothing new and there always have been positive and negative things of using multi-gpu setups.

IMO, reinstalling the game is just wasting of time but if you want you can try it. Personally i would go straight to checking the game with disabled sli.

Yes. I remember multi-gpu is old bussiness. Also, I remember it was kinda discouraged because there weren't enough games or software that could justify the investment. That's why I said I think it was until 2012 it became a trend, that it became more commercialized.

I also have Windows 10 Professional and 16 GB RAM. The game crashes right after all the intro videos where I would expect the menu. My GPU is an Radeon R9 380, so it seems to be independent of AMD or NVIDIA. My graphics card has 4 GB of VRAM.

With GTA 4 I observed that the game was not designed for having more than 2 GB of VRAM, so it would not let me adjust the graphics. The game assumed that it would not run anyway and was fixed on the lowest settings. Adding some command line options to remove those checks fixed this rediulous behavior.

I would guess that there is some problem with either having to much RAM or too much VRAM. How much VRAM do you have in your GeForce 970? If it is also 4 GB that might be the cause.

If it really just crashes on large machines, it is laughable. The game itself is already riddled with too many cut scenes (like when you crash or see a cop) such that I do not enjoy playing it too much anyway.
