They wouldn't be able to help themselves, it would be censored and anything they deem too raunchy, controversial or edgy would be taken out.
Ain't no point in a remake. they'd just ♥♥♥♥ it up.
But yeah I don’t think a simple remaster is possible. All 3 ME games were on the Unreal engine, a widely used and understood engine. Those remasters were easier to do. The Eclipse engine has a bunch of quirks that were never fixed, and it was only used for Origins and Awakening. A modified version was created for DA2, but even that game has crashing issues. It would have to be a complete remake something like the Resident Evil remakes, and this is a significantly more complex game so I’m guessing that would cost a lot of money.
With Veilguard underperforming commercially, Origins won't see a remake any time soon now. My advice is just to consider Origins and second game the only games in franchise, and maybe Inquisition if you like it. I personally am just content with my own headcanon in mind that happens post second game, and that's about it.
Explain how that works when it's sold more than any of the other three games did in it's first month? It's sold a million copies in less than thirty days; that's a success if anything. Origins itself only sold twice that in it's total release time. Seek help.
10 years of development with likely 1/2 billion dollar costs. It will struggle to break even.
