Another problem: that guide doesn't fix anything because... the offcial servers are down. Ultimate does give you access to the extra campaigns, but the DLC packs can no longer be downloaded it seems.
Try accessing your online profile, you'll get an error because there's an issue with this website: http://go.bioware.com/dragonage/playerprofile/en-us. See: if you try to go to 'go.bioware.com' manually you'll get redirected to their main website, yet that doesn't happen for the profile page; that simply times out.
Also interesting is that EA themselves only provide the base game, and with no mention of anything "ultimate".
You can't fix a game that relies on online services which are no longer available.
What are you talking about? My post does not say that registering would be required and files that need be run are the ones that already came with game installation.
Bioware servers were down long before that post was released. EA got original site closed and gave Bioware their own place. They didn't bother to copy data over to new server.
So, I wonder if you were talking about my instructions, or the fact that I pointed to guide in pinned topics. I have nothing to do with that guide and my instructions certainly work.
Anyway... right now the solution can be found in the EA app, even though this isn't directly used by DA itself. But if you have linked your Steam account with EA (maybe through some other games?) then it might be very revealing to fire up the EA app manually to check out our currently installed games.
Then if you check their properties you'll have some generation options at your disposal, though the app should automatically notice your installation as well as the availability of any extra contents.
1. Close the game and Steam
2. Use File Explore to go to Steam\steamapps\common\Dragon Age Ultimate Edition\redist
3. Double click DAUServiceSetup_Steam.exe and press Close when it's done
4. Do the same with DAOU_UpdateAddinsXML_Steam.exe
5. Launch the game
The DLCs are now available now when you launch.
