Dead Space 2 Severed DLC
So I just bought this game and I am confused about the DLC. I know there is a DLC story add on called Severed and I was wondering how I can play it? There is no DLC avaiable for sale on the Steam store and I can't find anyway to get to it from in game.

It was not released for PC, only consoles.

Aww that's a let down I was looking forward to playing it... Well thank you, I guess you can't have EVERYTHING on PC huh.

The funny thing is you can find some of the Severed DLCs video conversations in the game's files.

Yeah only consoles. In order to keep up with the story and lore, my advice is to just watch full playthrus of these contents; like Severed, Extraction etc.

don't forget "Dead Space: Ignition", since you also need that DLC to unlock the 4 Conduit Rooms in the console version

DARN YOU CONSOLES! why do consoles get exclusive dlc it just means if you are a pc gamer you need to buy a game you own a second time and personally keyboard and mouse is the best way to play a dead space game. plus who wants to buy a game they already own unless its a remaster or their copy is broken? console exlusive dlc is stupid and should not happen especially when you can get a good computer for gaming for a reasonable price. heck there are gaming laptops so if you cant afford a regular gaming pc a gaming laptop might be cheaper. and pcs get mods that dont get limited and can be just about anything from any franchise in a completly diffrent game like skyrim. plus console games almost never get mods and some console versions(cough fallout 4 ps4 cough) dont get the mods other consoles get. and before you say PC FANBOY! let me remind you there are some awesome pc games that are pc exculsive and pc versions of certain games are better than their console counterparts like ds2, portal 2 because you have more people to play co op and you have text chat if you dont have skype or something.

apparently, the console versions of this game is basically saying "♥♥♥♥ you" to the PC crowd, obviously. which is why I specifically mentioned in my response above, that you need the "Dead Space: Ignition" game to unlock the 4 Conduit Rooms (without resulting to using Cheat Engine or whatnot to open them up)

Only way to play appears to buy a 360 cross platform version for download or the digital game for backwards cross play on xb1/ series s/x . 360 stores are gone but much of the games available to play on Newer consoles still carry dlc to buy.

This thread was quite old before the recent post, so we're locking it to prevent confusion.
