I'd appreciate someone swopping in and confirming this. I wanted to re-play, but if this is what awaits now I'll just load from a different system... HOLY ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥.
It is real. They made it so that Akane died of this simple puzzle. I was like... okay then
From a child's perspective the sudoku puzzle was way harder but alright we all got our opinions and that's fine but Akane couldn't spell password and she died because of it lawl
ok mr right expert at child psychology but akane still couldn't spell password so she died a dumb death but ok I sure got owned there
AT LEAST they could have made a "difficulty picker" into the game, which let you choose the difficulty of puzzles, and if the other characters give you hints.
This only requires you to switch correct letters straight from their current places to correct places in the "password-line" - that literally requires you to just spell "PASSWORD" out.
1. Child would need to even know what sudoku is.
2. It would need to know math properly to even have a chance to count numbers,
3, Also ability to solve it within a minute in a situation where you are going to be burned to death.
4, And you need to do all calculations in you head,
5, its upside down.
You would di as well in that situation.
Switching letters to spell a word? Even dog can do it,
1. Sodoku is a very common game, and children do indeed know about it
2. Sodoku is very basic math.
3. That is a fair point, actually, but it's still made clear that Akane, and especially Junpei (a grown ass man who should very well know what Sodoku is and how to play) have no clue what they're looking at. Also, pretty sure it was nine minutes, not one.
4. Calculations are mostly unnecessary. All you need to do is make sure that you have one of every number through nine in each row, column, and box. You CAN use math, but it's not strictly necessary.
5. No, it's not. It's upside down for the player, but not for Junpei or Akane.
It's figuring out what you're looking at that's the hard part. When the rerelease first came out, there were more than a few topics expressing confusion as to what to do on that puzzle.
