There's more games, play them if you want the answers to your questions.
I mean, I know it's nowhere near as common as stories with a definitive ending, but such things do exist.
This story ends with Junpei riding off across the desert to hopefully find June in the future. His princess is in another castle.
:(
Due to what I saw in ZTD (if I got it correctly), Junpei and Akane had met somehow before the events of ZTD and after 999. Is it right? Will there be something about it in VLR?
It feels like I'm a starved dog who's had a steak waved in his face for the last 12 hours only to watch it get hauled off to the garbage at the very end.
I'm just flat-out refusing this ending. I'm sticking with my headcannon where Kanny and Jumpy have a beautiful life together.
There are still two more games...
This is a bit of a spoiler for the third game:
they do get a happy ending, but it does take quite a lot of effort to get there. And there will be a lot of sad, disappointing endings before then.
