Clover's Age

Okay, be honest, how surprised were you when you learned she was 18+? This more accounts for 999's portrayal, where she looked like she was 12, 14 max.

Not terribly surprised, if only because Japan is weird and I'm used to seeing characters hundreds of years old look like third-graders. An 18 year old looking like a 13 year old is nothing too crazy

I'll be honest, out of everything in the game that was the only thing that seemed to break the suspension of disbelief. At least for me. :P

Not really surprised, since Junpei looks like a high-schooler and he is actually 20-something.
Lotus doesn't look like she is 40 either. =)

Lotus is the one that bothered me, because she has the super slutty outfit, yet they keep calling her "old lady".

Actually, its possible that Clover was younger in the original Japanese version, but they upped her age for the overseas release. I think that happens quite often.

Doesn't seem to be the case, since she was supposed to be 9 years old in the original experiment which was 9 years before the game start - and you know how this games likes the number. ;)
Also no real reason to make her look older - there isn't any sexual content in the game.

Lotus didn't shock me as much since anyone over the age of 30 is considered ANCIENT in Japanese media. :P

Most of the other characters I could at least buy the ages for. Clover was the only one that really shocked me (and I was someone who didn't have a problem with FE's thousand year old dragon, :P).

Clover's age is fairly easy to figure out from the plot, and I'm guessing what's throwing you off is her apparent height, since she's the youngest out of the group. Everyone else is in their 20's or 30's, unlike many other games where the characters are all in high school (like Danganronpa), and are all about 15-18.

If Seven seems tall in this game, he must seem like a freaking giant if placed in the Danganronpa universe or something.
