Do you play with English or Japanese voice acting?
I was wondering which version most people prefer. Personally I started playing in English but then tried the Japanese version and think it somehow better enhances the game's atmosphere. Not that the English voice actors are necessarily bad but for some reason I can just take the characters more seriously in Japanese.

I hesitated a little before buying because I already know the stories of both games but now I'm really glad I did. It's just great to once again experience the game with its now even better atmosphere.

So which version do you prefer?

It's not the voice itself, it's the acting. Sorry about this.
I repeat. I don't see the issue with Clover's voice acting.
Well, I can't really describe what I disliked in it, but I think it's mostly the way she says her text. It doesn't sound quite natural imho; I don't know if the voice actress just read her text, or half-read it or something, because even though it didn't sound bland as it usually is when someone simply reads their text, I just didn't like the performance much...

Now, I was just stating that I didn't like it in my first post, not that it was a reason not to use the English dub; the same applies for the Japanese dub with Junpei's voice. It's just my personal opinion; if you liked Clover's English voice, good for you, same to anyone who hated it. Let's try not to start a "but x is good/bad, why can't you agree?!" dub wars-like kind of argument.

I agree with you completely! @red Glad i'm not the only one who wasn't fond of Clover's voice acting. I lovedddddd everyone elses tho. Junpei is spot on. I fel as if Clover was a little overacted sometimes... or... maybe just too loud? i can't say for sure either.

Personally, I prefer playing with the English voices. I like to actually be able to understand what the characters are saying because it helps me to immerse myself in the story. Since I don't understand Japanese, English is the obvious choice for me.

Tried English, but opted for Japanese. Some voice actors sounded quite on point though (Snake, Santa, June).

Only japanese games I always play in english are the Persona games. They have kickass dubs.

I won't play / buy / support Japan's made games that are sold not with Japan VA option.

IMO, english VAs in Japan's games usually are very limited in options in term of voice's 'characters'. When I heard English VAs , I practically can only imagine 3-4 characters in my head just by listening to their voices. And that's killing the games for me.

English. Because I don't speak Japanese. It's that simple really. If a dub isn't available, I'll go with just reading the subtitles. But that's always been kind of annoying.
