Is this game really worth the price?
Its $49.99(in CAD). Thats over $15 above Danganronpa which is considered a masterpiece of the genre. Why would I buy this game over that? It just comes off as the developers/publisher are reaching with that price. Even Danganronpa is a very high price for its genre, but its quality makes it worth it.

Yes, it's more than worth it. Not only is it two games in one, it's even BETTER than Danganronpa, at least in my opinion. 999 and VLR are considered some of the best visual novels in existence. Perhaps even games. So yes. It's worth it.

Totally worth it for me. Already over 30 hours clocked in and I'm not even 1/4 through VLR after having finished 999.

999 alone is worth that price (maybe not by hours of gameplay, but in story and emotions you experience). VLR is even more than that! Both of these games in a bundle worth more than 60 bucks easily for me.

It is easily in my top 10 games of all time. Loving every bit of this remaster (though playing it with voices after all these years is sooooo weird).

Much better story than Danganronpa 1 (in my opinion), and actually keeps the tension of "japanese saw" moment. 999 has flaws, but the story is gold.

Yes it's worth the price.

Danganronpa is a totally different genre if you ask me. The fact that it has VN elements and dialogue is irrelevant. It is more in tune with Ace Attorney than 999 or VLR.
As a matter of fact, they are separate experiences. Yes, the price is worth it no question about that.

10-ish hours for 999, 35ish for VLR, really cool story, damn good puzzles, great soundtrack, good to great voice acting, great visuals in the first game, okay to good visuals in VLR. I'd call it worth it.

Zero Escape is better than Danganronpa. Whether its worth it to you not is up to you.

I also think that the price should be lower because Zero Escape is sort of a short arcade version of Danganronpa. It's still an okay game but Danganronpa blew me away and Zero Escape is just kind of neat. Danganronpa is WAY better in every way. Especially the second one.

Depends on what you liked in Danganronpa, honestly. I really didn't like the minigames during the trials.
999/VLR are much more streamlined visual novels with adventure puzzle sections between scenes. Both of these were about 30 hours on 3DS for me, since I went for all endings in both. That may make 999 shorter in this version because you have the flowchart now.

I haven't played Danganronpa yet, I want to as many people I follow/respect love the series.
