Local cooperation, 1 controller 1 keyboard, epic BUG [NEED Help]
Hey Guys,

i fill free to speak here as you said on steam forum. I'm French, so excuse my french =)

I bought the game today, and i tried to play multi coop on local, with 1 controller and my keyboard.

The splitscreen by pressing start with controller works, but the 1st player with keyboard doesn't work when the splitscreeen is activate. With solo game, i can control the player with controller or keyboard, but with 2P, only the second one is moving by using controller.
I've try to follow Jaybop instructions :

- Have a controller inserted before going past the the 'Press A to Start' screen.
- To play 2 player local CO-OP you then have to press and hold the [MENU] button on this controller until joined.
- Once joined select PLAY > LOCAL > CONTINUE or SELECT LEVEL using the keyboard & mouse (Do not use the controller to start the level!).
- On loading into the level your view will automatically switch to SPLIT SCREEN and you'll be able to use both the keyboard & mouse and the controller to control your separate Bobs.

It's still not working ....
Help me i really don't know how to do ....

THX for help guys !

Hi,

I know this doesn't resolve anything but I have the same problem, player 1's screen is completly disabled once player 2 has joined and the screen has split. However the game runs correctly on solo. I've tried some of Jaybop's instructions too, but it's still not working, even more that I do no longer have the old 'Press A to Start' screen.

I look forward to your reply
Thank you in advance for your time
I have the same problem.....
I have the same, unfortunately.. :cozycastondeath:
Just bought it as well and unfortunately the same happened to me. Is there any other fix for this?
Hi everyone - have you tried pressing both trigger buttons on the second controller when in-game?
There unfortunately (at the moment at least) is no second controller (controller as in a gamepad). Also wouldn't that just make one character grab (or what do you mean with "when in-game")?
To clarify my (and if I understood correctly OPs) situation: The first input device is a keyboard and mouse and the secondary input device is the controller / gamepad.
As OP stated the Keyboard inputs are recognised as long as there is no splitscreen active. Both (the keyboard and the controller are moving the same character). When you hold the menu button of the controller in the pause menu and add the second player to the game the splitscreen pops up. The character controlled by the controller works fine but the other character shows no reaction to the keyboard or mouse inputs. (Keyboard and mouse inputs do work fine in the pause menu even with the splitscreen active).

Is there a reason that you can't play local coop with one controller and one keyboard + mouse or is this some unwanted weird behaviour?

And thanks in advance for trying to help.
This is a strange one as the above methods typically fixes this! If you wouldn't mind emailing the team at support@curve-digital.com they should be able to look into this for you.
I have exactly the same problem.
Besides, when I inserted two controllers(before game started), the first one (I am sure the controller itself is fine) don't work neither the keyboard.
Same problem with xbox controller on mac. The game restart helps sometimes. So restart the game until both players controls work.
There is another problem: even if both player have their controls sometimes gamepad one looses his control for several seconds. This unplayable situation repeats frequently. Game restart helps.
"-joy_remap_player_for_controller1 2" Should be the answer
