Is the "Will it fry?" Achievement broken?

I swear I've tried this for several hours and still nothing, I've wired 3 batteries the right way several times on different doors and all of them have opened and done their thing, still no achievement.

I have managed to help people get it successfully at least 8 times now. If you need the achievement, you can add me, or follow this screenshot and match the wiring yourself.

Edit: I also have a nicer version of it if you're interested.

I did that. The achievement still doesn't pop up tho... =(

weird, I got the achievement and it magically worked :/

I think the problem is that it won't work with certain batteries, To get this you either do or don't need the battery on top of the statue. I swapped different batteries til it worked

I figured out the problem. you need to charge the second battery first, using the charger provided. Then the achievement will pop up. The statue battery is needed.

Sorry to necro, this is one of the first results for this achievement.
What I did was connect 4 batteries instead of 3 and it worked. The gate was already open, by the way, and I tried several times with first three batteries (including statue one). Not sure which one of the three is "extra" (maybe statue battery is not required?) but it worked for me with 4 batteries.

TL;DR:
if 3 batteries don't work, try 4.

That just makes so it registers one battery connected, and it didn't work for me
