Music??
I just streamed this game tonight and it was really fun, but.. as a Twitch streamer..

WHERE IS THE MUSIC? I mean there were little musical bits when you're learning new concepts at various times, but.. I was just so blown away and surprised by how QUIET it was at almost all times. Very empty feeling. Am I totally missing something here? It would be great to have some nice music for the levels. Is this being planned?

There is background music, maybe your audio levels are low.

Well when you begin the game or possibly a stage, yes you get a bit of music.. but once it ends.. it's just silence. Totally totally silent except for the game sound effects. It'd be great to have some little tune that plays all the way through. It can be very empty sounding.

Originally the game was designed to have just the ambience (e.g. Portal, Limbo). Adding some music felt right, but definitely did not want to go with the looped music that drive me crazy in some other games. So I went composing more cinematic type of cues that are played in the right moments. The pace of the game depends on the player and varies A LOT, therefore it's extremely hard to make a nice and rich cinematic experience end-to-end.

There will be more music and more levels. Once the OST is complete I could add an option to shuffle the music and always have some music playing for the streamers like you. Would that be a viable option?

Hey thanks so much for responding!

Yes I mean anything like that would be fantastic. I think it benefits both the streamers and you guys, by making the game more entertaining to watch (if the streamer chooses not to play their own music)

Much love

I bought the OST dlc, and can confirm there is definitely some AWESOME music in this game. Any audio problems you may be having are likely due to either your settings in-game or on your computer itself. The very last level song, 'Test of Time', is freakin' epic, one of the best parts of that level!

I don't mean this as an attack on anyone, but just a general statement. I notice a lot of people who stream games are now needing constant music when they play games. I have friends who are streamers and now, even when they don;t stream they need music or other things besides the games to entertain themselves. It's one of the reasons i never game while I have music or videos going in the background. I fel like Human: Fall Flat is a game that doesn't have music playing constantly for the same reason a game like the new Doom has music playing constantly music. It's part of the games art and part of what the devs want the players to experience or not experience at any given time. I feel the same way about movies. If I watched a move that didnt have music on, I wouldnt want to ruin the feel by putting my ear buds in and playing music. If I did that, I might start wanting music all the time when watching movies...

Anyone get what I'm saying?
