no, i play with my friend, and if he hosts i get horrible controller detection and lag, vice versa happens too

The online feature is still in alpha, When someone joins then the host lags, When the host lags the people in the server lag, To get no lag is to host with a really good connection and have less players in the server. You can scale how many players can be in your server under settings. I'm not sure if this is 100% true but, People from other countries that joins the server will make the host lag.

All the physics is done server-side i think, which is why you notice it more when you lag because your input will lag behind too.
It's still alpha though, i'd imagine that it'll be better in the future.

zero issues here, I have ♥♥♥♥ internet (50 Mbps) and can host 8 player games with zero lag.
Maybe open some ports on your router (if you know what you are doing), make sure you aren't on wifi or some other unstable internet ♥♥♥♥, etc. The issue is definitly on your end.

i have good ping, i dont know any reason, the opposite characters movement IS kinda good, not as good as offline and stuff, but wheni try to move it takes around 1 to 2.5 seconds for it to react and do the movement, and its really annoying for us, as my friend saved the money especially to play together :/
