Thanks.
(No i can't rely on a windows machine on the internet so that route is a no-no for me)
But make sure to run the FirstTime Setup by hand by exporting your WINEPATH with the installation path of Proton and WINEPREFIX with the prefix generated by n2p.
than you just need to run all *.exe in _CommonRedist inside the human fal falt steamfolder AND also make sure that no file (*.desktop and *.sh) dose not contain ":" as a character otherwise Proton/Steam will fail to luanch the game.
"Working fine"
Sorry for trying to help...
It is definitively a "proof of concept", but i am not able to see it as adequate replacement for a native Linux port.
I think it's wonderful that you're trying to help and it's certainly gives people an option, but as Joey said above me it's not an adequate replacement for a Linux native version. You're part of the reason that Linux is awesome.
a shame that i'm not able to refund anymore...
So, it's OK to take money from buyers but discontinue their version ?
They just did not addressed any of their problems. Very unprofessional.
I'm not even a Linux user, but I can only imagine how some feel when they buy a game for their system while it's advertised as being playable on their system and having support for it, but then having that support pulled with no forewarning or anything.
I'm not gonna stop playing since I have fun with friends on it, but they screwed Linux buyers over and handled it very poorly and deserve the negative PR for it.
Thanks for recognizing it. Too few just say this kind of things...
1. If you haven't already, opt into the Steam Beta Update by going Steam -> Settings -> Account -> Beta participation -> Steam Beta Update (this step is currently required as of 18th Jan 2019). Allow Steam to restart when prompted.
2. Find "Human: Fall Flat" in your library, right-click it, go to Properties, and at them bottom there should be a new checkbox: "Force the use of a specific Steam Play compatability tool" - enable this and you'll be able to run the Windows version directly through steam, no need to debug scripts that struggle with the colon in the game title, no need to add the game back into steam as a non-steam game, everything just works.
Of course, it would've been nice for the dev to carry on updating the linux version, but thanks to valve it's a little easier to play this multiplayer with windows users again.
