Just A Stroll In The Forest

Plot - Steph told you it was just a fun girls weekend involving a treasure hunt. It went wrong. You got a text from her freaking out about the forest moving, the trees being alive and 8 cursed gems that were disturbed. She is missing, you have arrived at the same location she was at with her friends. You need to find the 8 gems and return them to the cursed coffin before the woods themselves get you, or whatever lies beyond.....

Some facts about the game :

• The forest was created procedurally, I know it has some odd bits within in terms of layout...that is intended...

• The creatures that roam the forest, there are if I remember correctly over 10 of them. Every player should experience things differently.

• There is no difficulty slider or save system, the game can technically be beat in 1 sitting.

• If you KNOW where the gems are, it can be done VERY quickly. *hint hint.....

• No difficulty slider as you can in most cases out RUN the creatures, there are so many of them you could potentially run into many at a time.

• Headphones are recommended for the absolute BEST experience

This is kind of a joke entry - it's just me. One guy.

A little about me, I'm now getting up there in age in my 40's. I have been playing videogames since I was a small child riddled with cancer. (yes, that is true. I had a form of cancer when I was just a wee lad)

Fine now, but most likely on a spectrum of sorts.

So anyway, Playing games for probably 38 years now, I moved around Canada a bit before deciding to settle here on Vancouver Island because it's always raining and dreary so it's easy to stay indoors for long stretches' (this is a total joke about how people perceive the area, it's FREAKING beautiful out here).

Always disliking most jobs I have had and I have had lots including, call center dude, auto parts wrecker, fast food jockey, call center trainer and more.....I figured to try and learn Unreal Engine in my spare time as it interested me a lot and I have too many stories in my brain I want to tell, so as I learned the engine and followed along with different courses I slowly developed something that is complete enough to release.

There will be more projects including one based off a viral story from years ago that just - hit me right. I hope you don't judge my first project to harsh as....it is exactly that. One person, doing it all. I did use some pre-made assets for things which I will include a lovely credit file within the final files for all incase anyone wants to use any themselves.

Thanks for wishlisting, and maybe eventually purchasing. It will be less than $5! I feel it's worth that at least.
