Equip weapon variant in zombies mode

I just bought cod ww2 yesterday for playing zombies only. I received a notification that I got a saw-off shotgun variant, but all of them were locked. Is it not allowed to use weapon variant in zombies mode or do I need to reach certain condition to equip them?

Yes, your able to use weapon variant in zombies however you might be under leveled to access that specific weapon since its not a DLC weapon. There should be a prompt somewhere in the screen that tells you what level you have to be to unlock it. Hope that helps!
