Do steam even have crossplay for any other games???
They (cod) will never come back to steam with first release. Maybe they release a pc/steam version for those cod-games after 10 years, without crossplay.....
BO4 was the first cod on Battle-net and soon you have the new BO-Cold War release. All with crossplay. MW2019 is the the best selling COD EVER and on their own plattform!!!
Money talks... thats the lesson for us all....
They could've done crossplay on Steam, they could do crossplay on any client.
I refuse to use bnet due to how ♥♥♥♥ the client + customization is. You can't manage your own DLC, you can't custom install BO4 so you're essentially forced to download 155GB just to play zombies, the way regions work and how they affect your friends list/chat is also horrid.
Also please f off with the money talks arguments. CoD is a console game, not a PC game. The PC playerbase for any CoD is tiny compared to console. Not only that, but Activision is already making huge stacks of money, their profits are at an all-time record high every year.
Not putting their games on Steam only hurts the small playerbase on PC and does nothing else. It doesn't make them more profit. It hurts you and me and the longevity of these games.
cod just did a greedy move and we all know that
